Payment of Course Fees

Once registered with Almond Careers, all students, regardless of funding source and fee status, are liable for their fees the relevant course. Self-funded candidates are required to pay their fees in full before the training commences or on the first day of training.

In cases, where a candidate’s fees are funded by an external body (known as a “sponsor”), Almond Careers will receive the fees in accordance with the requirements or rules of that sponsor. Examples of sponsors include the UK Government via the Student Loans Company, Job Centre Plus, Skill Funding Agency, etc.

Instalment Payment Options

In the event that a student cannot pay the full fees at once, they will be allowed to pay in two instalments of 50% each after the initial non refundable registration fee of £100. The first instalment is to be received on or before the training start date and payments must be completed before classes conclude.

Discretionary payment arrangement

In specific circumstances, Almond Careers Staff reserve the right to arrange a discretionary payment arrangement which may extend beyond the instalment payment option highlighted above (subject to senior management approval). However, payment remains subject to other terms stated in this policy.

Overdue payments

If a student defaults on their payment agreement and does not make contact with the office to explain the delay, after 24 hours they will be removed from their class, their project and Basecamp. They will also be denied access to a CV Review, Interview Preparation support and the work reference until payment and late payment fees are paid in full. See breakdown of late payment fees below:

24 hours = £25

25 hours – 1 week = £50

1 week – 4 weeks = £100

Over 4 weeks with no contact from the student, the student will be removed completely from our system. Should they return they will be required to pay the full amount, plus any outstanding charges incurred for defaulting on their payment.

To avoid any disruption to your training progress, your team and to avoid incurring further late fee charges, students are expected to pay instalments on time. It is the students’ responsibility to pay their instalments and not the company to chase for this. Payments are considered overdue 1-minute past midnight of the day the payment is due:

Students Request to be placed on hold 

Students who request to be placed on hold for personal reasons at any point after training has commenced will have 2 months to resume training before they begin to incur charges to return back on to their course / project:

  • 0 – 2 months – No charge
  • 3 – 6 months – £100
  • 6 months and above – Pay the full training fee.

Refunds process

Once registered, the registration fee of £100 is non refundable. Any refunds made will not include the registration fee. Candidates who withdraw permanently from training before their start date would also forfeit the £100 non-refundable registration fee.

Candidates who withdraw after the start of their training are no longer eligible for a refund of any sort.

In the event that a payment is to be refunded, it can take between 7- 21 working days from when the refund request was made.

Refunds can only be made to the card account or bank account from which the refundable payment was made.

All refund requests must be made in writing to –
